Macquaire Bank Skycity Casino Project
Scenario
• Casino held a portfolio of premium parking assets in an inner city capital
• Recognising this as non-core, they offered the asset for sale under a concession arrangement
Challenge
• CKC was brought into the assess the quality of the assets, the quality of the operations and the potential
Outcome
• Bidding was successful in the transaction for $220 million for a greater than 30 year agreement
• CKC formed and delivered the specialized reporting required by the concession agreement
• CKC identified areas of significant leakage and technology risk, increasing yields significant above forecast

Festival Square Entertainment Development
Scenario
• Property Owner recognised the deficiencies in the car park technology designed by its former consultant as
inadequate for the scale and complexity of the project.
Challenge
• Fix the technology design and then value the revenue potential of the parking asset to determine a sell/hold
• Develop a launch strategy and partnership arrangement for the 3 venture partners
Outcomes
• Solved the technology design issues, value engineered the design and added future proofing technology
• Provided the profiting sharing framework for reporting revenue from 3 virtual car parks
• Bid out the parking operations , access control and parking guidance, quality assured the implementations
Outsourced Management and Technology
Brisbane International Cruise Terminal, QLD
Scenario
• Be ready for the first Cruise ships to arrive and local political dignitaries opening of the site at a hard date.
• Appointed very late in the program, to select and implement both a Parking technology and Operator
Challenge
• Deliver contracts with the right solution providers within a month (yes you read that right)
• All during COVID-19
Outcome
• We got it done and installed, however all Cruising stopped two days after we finished!
New Construction Parking Technology Design
Metro Hospital and Health Service x 4
Scenario
• With Healthcare funding increased, major expansions of onsite car parking supply are being delivered
• As a specialist Parking consultancy, CKC has been active across multiple hospital portfolios to automate the management of significant traffic flows, to design solutions that elegantly manage loads and occupancy.
Challenge
• Each location has legacy car parks, systems and the need to continue to function without interruption
• Manage staff parking rights and payment, rosters and credentialing between facilities, event management, reporting support and the maintenance of legacy networks and systems.
Outcome
• Develop a blueprint for current and future car parks, including reworking existing assets to find more capacity
• Introduce professional management practices to make the self-servicing of staff practical
• Integrating the new construction supply and wayfinding within the healthcare precinct, improving speed to park
• From designing the whole way through the lifecycle to acceptance of the integrated parking designs
Smart Parking and Offstreet Technology Upgrade
Waverley Council
Scenario
• A long-term client of CKC for more than 8 years, CKC has developed and delivered their parking roadmap
• Parking systems City-wide are blending, visitors and permit holders don’t distinguish between on and off street
Challenge
• Each technology element has a different lifecycle, and as these assets are converted into as a service solutions they need to integrated into the existing and future ecosystem requirements.
Outcome
• CKC has delivered Ticketless and Frictionless Smart Parking solutions city-wide - reducing operation’s overheads
• Introduced LPR Enforcement, Bay Sensors & Digital Wayfinding, Single-space Parking Guidance & Pay by Phone
Insourcing Operations and Project Management
Charter Hall REIT Portfolio
Scenario
• During COVID-19 the 5 inner city Sydney location’s were not generating lease revenue
• Two locations had equipment at the end of it service life
Challenge
• Multiple technology platforms, multiple tenancy requirements, different technology lifecycles and external operation’s contracts.
• All of a sudden parking become an instrument to increase the return of the retail asset and maintain tenancies
Outcome
• Developed their a blueprint for current and future car parks upgrades across their 100+ property portfolio
• Unpicked the complexities of their existing contractual arrangements and form bespoke a scope of works for each package required
• Set them on a course to self-operate and deploy on wholly Cloud Architecture
• Achieved competitive bids for their works at >50% less than initial supplier budgets and estimates!
Smart Parking Integration and Implementation
City Of Ryde
Scenario
• One of ten current City customers who are adopting new ways to manage their paid parking
• Seeking operating efficiencies by removing cash and tickets from the ecosystem
Challenge
• Its not often that City’s are out of contract with all elements of their smart parking environment
• Multi-component integration using a head contractor’s platform and tying in multiple subcontractor technologies is never easy, particularly if your looking for a long-term partner of up to 10 years
Outcome
• Formed the technical and contractual arrangements to support long-term success
• Coached stakeholders on the complexities and protected their interests, significantly accelerating the project
• Will deliver the project under budget and within the desire timeframe across a 3 year roll-out program
Parking Outsourcing and Technology Upgrades
Emerald and Gladstone Airports
Scenario
• With their parking systems at the end of their operating lives, both Airports needed assistance to upgrade
• The upgrades were undertaken with other projects, new construction, terminal refit and security upgrades
Challenge
• Both customers wanted to reduce the use of cash, improve wayfinding, introduce LPR, guarantee uptime and remove on ground staff supporting the systems (their own resources)
Outcome
• Delivered new parking systems , each locked up to performance level arrangements
• Lead the upgrade of the parking, building access and security system programs
• Removed the requirement for the Airports to manage an level 1 system support requirements
• Reduced their future operation expenditure significantly and their upgrade capital cost by 20%
• The assets are easier to use, avoid leakage issues and therefore are capturing much more revenue.
